How to Get Published, Thursday, July 23 at 7:00 p.m.

So you want to be a writer? You wrote a book and now you have no idea how to get it published. Not to worry! Let author, Karen Rostoker-Gruber, guide you through the submission process. Karen will explain what manuscript guidelines are, how to write a captivating query letter, how to select the right publisher for your book and more. This is not a seminar on how to write a book, but rather what to do once you have completed it.

Karen Rostoker-Gruber's first children's book, Food Fright, was published in 2003 by Price Stern Sloan. Her second children's book Rooster Can't Cock-a-Doodle-Doo, was published in 2004 by Dial Books for Young Readers. Her third children's book, Bandit, was published in 2008 from Marshall Cavendish. Bandit's Surprise will be published in 2010.

Karen is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She was a guest on the Ricki Lake Show and has been promoting her books on over 62 radio shows around the country. Karen lives in New Jersey with her family.
