Meet the Author: Luba Czerhoniak Fedash

Luba Czerhoniak Fedash is the author of Blossoms on a Rooftop.

As a child, Luba Czerhoniak Fedash experienced the horrors of World War II in her homeland of Lemkovyna, followed by the forced resettlement policy of Operation Vistula, in which the Polish Government forced thousands of people out of the homes and villages to be dispersed throughout western Poland, known as Silesia. At the age of sixteen she emigrated to the United States to join her father in New Jersey, leaving her mother and brothers behind. Once there, she struggled to learn English and to get an education that would enable her to become a productive citizen of her new country. Luba's story is an example of how love, faith, and determination can help us as we triumph over seemingly insurmountable odds. (Amazon.com)
