Tour the Deep Sky, Wednesday, June 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Using magnificent astrophotos taken from Earth-based telescopes and the Hubble Space Telescope we will travel out from the edge of our solar system to the edge of our universe. First we will visit local stars, star clusters and nebulae within our own island of stars, the Milky Way Galaxy. Then out to the other galaxies – spirals, ellipticals, lenticulars, irregulars and colliding galaxies! Traveling further we find galactic clusters and superclusters of galaxies all held together by mysterious dark matter, while expanding with ever increasing speed under the influence of the perplexing dark energy. This presentation includes beautiful photographs of the depths of our night sky and speculation as to the fate of our universe.
