Tour the Solar System, Saturday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m.

Join us for this fun event. Families welcome!

Using astrophotos from space probes, land based telescopes and the Hubble Space Telescope we will start from the sun and visit all the planets in our solar system. Our visit to each of the planets reveals the harsh reality of being too close or too far from the sun. We will see the surface of Venus photographed by the Russian Venera probes and the recent photos of the surface of Saturns moon, Titan. The red planet, Mars, is under constant surveillance by orbiting satellites and robots on its surface so wonderful photos of this planet will also be shown. Program presented by the New Jersey Astronomical Association.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration required. Call the reference desk at (732) 356-0043 or email Paul at pschroed@sclsnj.org.
