In his poem, “The Wasteland,” 20th century American-born poet, playwright and critic T.S. Eliot concluded that, “April is the cruelest month.” He is not alone in his belief. Various numerology theories exist that attempt to associate April with natural and man-made disasters, often relating to the number 23, which many believe to have strange properties among cardinal numbers.
